             JPU ATTRACTIONS





























                   HE  HIGHER  MINISTRY OF  HIGER  EDUCATION  APPROVED  THE
                T ESTABLISHMENT OF THIS UNIVERSITY IN 1992, AND SUBSEQUENTLY THE
                UNIVERSITY  LAUNCHED  TEACHING  IN 1993.  IT IS THE  FIRST AND  BIGGEST
                PRIVATE UNIVERSITY IN NORTHERN JORDAN; THE UNIVERSITY CONTRIBUTES
                TO POVERTY  ALLEVIATION  AND DECREASING  THE UNEMPLOYMENT  RATE.
                THE TOTAL NUMBER OF STUDENTS WHO HAVE BEEN GRADUATED IS MORE
                THAN  THIRTY THOUSAND  UNDERGRADUATES,  AND  SEVEN  HUNDRED
                POSTGRADUATES.  MOST OF THOSE  NOURISHED  THE  PUBLIC  AND PRIVATE
                SECTORS.  SOME HAVE  SERVED  AS COURT  JUDGES,  PARLIAMENT  MEMBERS,
                TEACHERS, ACCOUNTANTS AND ENGINEERS.

                   HE TOTAL AREA OF THE UNIVERSITY IS 300,000 (SQUARE METERS), WHILE
               TITS BUILDINGS ARE NEARLY ESTIMATED AT 70,000 (SQUARE METERS). THE
               UNIVERSITY HAS ELEVEN FACULTIES, NAMELY:


                     1. Faculty of Art.            7. Faculty of Engineering.

                     2. Faculty of Education.      8. Faculty of Pharmacy.
                     3. Faculty of Business.       9. Faculty of Nursing.

                     4. Faculty of Law.            10. Faculty of Information Technology.
                     5. Faculty of Shari’a.        11. Faculty of Agriculture.

                     6. Faculty of science.
