The Faculty of Arts has been a part of Jerash University since its establishment in 1993/94. The Faculty comprises of the following departments: Arabic Language and Literature (both bachelor's and master’s degrees are available), the Department of English Language and Literature (both bachelor's and master’s degrees are available), and the Department of English and Translation (bachelor's). The Faculty of Arts at Jerash University believes that its goal is to focus mainly on education, scientific research and culture. Therefore, the Faculty seeks to achieve excellence in performance and continuous development by reinforcing scientific openness and knowledge enrichment and keeping up-to-date with scientific and educational developments. The development policy in the Faculty of Arts is carried out internally through the scientific and administrative follow-up of members of the teaching and administrative bodies, which serves to provide them with the latest scientific and technical expertise to serve the needs of students, as well as the local society. We are very keen to emphasize and maintain quality assurance in order to ensure the success of the development and modernization plans in the programs of our Faculty. In the end, we aim to provide students with knowledge, resources and skills to facilitate their academic and professional careers, as well as the labor market, and the needs of the local community. Through its vision and mission, the Faculty is embarking on a process of broad communication with scientific and community institutions at home and abroad through scientific conferences and seminars. The Faculty is also keen to develop new disciplines that are compatible with global advancements in academia.
