In the present paper theoretical investigation has been carried out to evaluate the effect ofplasma wave on the radiation properties of a conically depressed microstrip patchantenna .Using linearized hydrodynamic theory and potential function technique, the totaldirective gain and quality factor are calculated for different values of plasma to sourcefrequency p and different half-cone angles. It is observed that the directive gainand quality factor are changes considerably by changing the half-cone angle as wellas a plasma to source frequency p values.
The objective of this article is to implement and extend applications of adaptive control to anti-synchronize different fractional order chaotic and hyperchaotic dynamical systems. The sufficient conditions for achieving anti–synchronization are derived by using the Lyapunov stability theory and an analytic expression of the controller with its adaptive laws of parameters is shown. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulations are shown to verify the results.
Radiation properties of microstrip antenna embedded under the sand bed of grain size (120-180) microns are observed experimentally at 10 GHz frequency. Effect of surface waves on radiation properties is observed by changing the thickness of sand over the radiator.
The thermo-electric power S is calculated as a function of temperature forBi2Sr2Ca1-xYxCu2O8+δ and Bi2Sr2Ca2-x SmxCu3O10 superconducting samples with variousx values (0.00 ≤x ≤ 0.50). This work is performed in terms of the reporetd data based onthe considered samples; and with the help of the two band model. It is found that themeasured values of S fit reasonably with the values which have been deduced from themodel. The deduced parameters are used to calculate the energy gap Eg as a function ofdoping content and over a wide range of temperature. It is noteworthy that Eg is increasedwith increasing doping content and it is higher in Bi:2223 samples than Bi:2212 . WhileEg is decreased with decreasing tempeature for pure samples; and vice versa for dopedsamples. On the other hand, the hole carrier concentration per Cu/ion is calculated byusing the two- band Hubbard model and it is higher in Bi:2212 samples than Bi:2223Our results are discussed in terms of both carrier concentration and hyberdization for thetwo considered systems.
This paper presents theoretical investigations on the radiation of rectangular microstrip antenna printed on a magnetized ferrite substrate Ni Co Fe O 0.62 0.02 1.948 4 in the presence of ionized plasma medium. The theoretical study on rectangular microstrip antenna in free space is carried out by applying the transmission line model combining with potential function techniques while hydrodynamic theory is used for it is analysis in plasma medium. By taking the biased and unbiased ferrite cases , far field radiation patterns in free space and plasma medium are obtained which in turn are applied in computing radiated power ,directivity, quality factor and bandwidth of antenna .It is found that the presence of plasma medium affects the performance of rectangular microstrip antenna structure significantly
We investigated the effect of inducing deformation in individual boron nitride nanotubes by performing X-ray diffraction (XRD) simulations for different individual boron nitride nanotubes that had different geometries and were subjected to mechanical deformations. We found that the mechanical properties of boron nitride nanotubes depended sensitively on the levels of induced mechanical deformation. As a result of this dependence, mechanical deformations induced in boron nitride nanotubes caused their XRD patterns to change. We compared the XRD patterns of deformed boron nitride nanotubes with those of undeformed boron nitride nanotubes for different torsion angles.
In this paper, we present the derivation of the magnetoionic dispersion equation and the corresponding index of refraction and propagation constant for characterizing wave propagation in warm plasma immersed in a uniform magnetic field. To demonstrate the effects of plasma temperature on wave propagation and attenuation, a numerical example of the developed theory has been given. It is well known that there are two forward propagating modes of cold plasma: one is weakly attenuated and the other is weakly amplified. By comparing the cold plasma complex propagation constant of the classical Appleton-Hartree theory with the propagation constant obtained for the warm plasma case, we observed that the attenuated mode is thermally enhanced while the amplification of the other mode decreases by increasing the temperature where it becomes damped beyond a certain electron thermal speed.
Electromagnetic wave propagation in a nonuniform, collisional, magnetized plasma slab is investigated within magnetoionic theory. We allow for the presence of an ideal conductor at a distance d from the right transmissive plasma boundary, and derive the reflection, absorption, and transmission coefficients analytically for an arbitrary inhomogeneous plasma density profile. Dividing the inhomogeneous plasma slab into n thin layers allows for treating each layer as a homogeneous plasma and, therefore, the complex index of refraction of the magnetoionic theory is used to express the complex propagation vector of the waves in each layer. Upon matching the fields at all interfaces, a global matrix is formed that allows for the determination of the reflection, absorption, and transmission coefficients analytically. Results show that in the absence of the metallic wall, the reflected signal is a weak peak near ωce, while in the presence of the metallic wall this weak signal is overwhelmed by a strong transmitted peak from right to left after it has been reflected by the perfectly conducting metallic wall. Also, formation of a wider stealth band as the plasma density increases is observed.
Zn1xAlxO ceramic samples with various x values (0.00rxr0.20) are sintered in air at temperatures of850 1C for 10 h and then quenched to room temperature. Structural, surface morphology and I–Vcharacteristics of the samples are investigated using X-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electronmicroscope (SEM) and dc electrical measurements. It is found that addition of Al up to 0.05 does notinfluence the well-known peaks related to wurtzite structure of ZnO ceramics, and other unknownpeaks could be formed above 0.05 of Al. The cell parameters of Al-doped samples are a little shorter thanthe undoped ZnO, and also the shape and size of grains are clearly affected. Average crystallinediameters, deduced from XRD analysis, are between 39.90 and 47.18 nm, which are 25 times lower thanthose obtained from SEM micrographs. Although breakdown field, nonlinear coefficient and barrierheight are generally decreased by Al addition, the electrical conductivity is improved. These results arediscussed in terms of the interaction mechanism between atoms of Al and Zn in both under and overdopedregions.
