This course focuses on the theoretical and conceptual basis for nursing management of adult clients
experiencing acute and chronic illness. The impact of social, cultural, psychological, physical, and
spiritual factors on clients’ health will be explored. It enables the students to develop assessment,
critical thinking, and decision making skills required for planning and implementing the appropriate
nursing care to clients suffering a wide variety of commonly presenting acute and chronic illness.
