The Degree to Which Public Secondary School Principals Practice E-leadership in Jerash Governorate in Light of the Corona Pandemic from the Point of View of Islamic Educatioة and Arabic Language Teachers
This study investigates the impact of gender differences on the utilization of online platforms and attitudes toward them. A quantitative approach was adopted, employing a questionnaire comprising two domains: utilization and attitudes. The questionnaire consisted of 34 items, and its validity and reliability were assessed. The study's sample comprised 153 randomly selected graduate students from Jerash University. The findings indicate that students' utilization of online learning platforms, particularly the Zoom platform, is high, as is their positive attitude toward it. Furthermore, statistically significant gender-based differences were observed, favoring male students in both platform utilization and attitudes. The study recommends the implementation of a quasi-experimental approach to explore the gender variable's impact on students' platform utilization. Additionally, encouraging the use of Zoom platform among both students and instructors through incentivization is suggested.
AbstractThis study aimed to reveal the degree of practice of organizational citizenship behavior among academic leaders from the point of view of the faculty members at Jerash University. The degree of practicing organizational citizenship behavior among academic leaders in the fields of study came with close arithmetic averages that ranged between (3.24 - 3.34), to a average degree, and the arithmetic mean of the tool as a whole was (3.27). Where the field of altruism ranked first with the highest arithmetic average of (3.34), while the fields of sportsmanship and sense of citizenship and concern for the university came in the last rank, with an average of (3.24). It also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences (0.05≥α) due to the variables (gender, number of years of experience, college), and the presence of statistically significant differences (0.05≥α) due to the academic rank variable between assistant professor and associate professor, came in favour of the professor group. Participant, between an assistant professor and a professor, the differences came in favour of the professor group. Humanities colleges and the academic rank variable between the category of lecturer and the category of assistant professor, and the differences came in favour of an assistant professor.
AbstractLeadership style is one of the most important factors determining a school’s success,with Transformational Leadership being regarded as the most effective approach.However, little is known about whether teachers and principals perceive leadershipqualities the same way. Based on quantitative research model this study examinedteachers’ perceptions of the leadership styles of school principals and examined schoolprincipals’ perceptions of their own leadership styles. The purpose of the study was todetermine whether there were discrepancies in perception between teachers andprincipals concerning the principals’ approaches to leadership. The research sampleconsisted of 451 teacher and 340 principals at public schools in Jordan, who wereadministered a questionnaire. Based on their responses, the study found that there aresignificant discrepancies between teachers’ perceptions of their principals’ leadershipstyles and the principals’ perceptions on their own leadership styles in a variety ofdomains. Individualized Consideration, Inspirational Motivation, Intellectual Stimulation,Idealized Influence, and Contingent Reward are among the traits most marked bydiscrepancies between teacher and principal perceptions. Ultimately, the studydetermined that principals view themselves as embodying a Transformational Leadershipstyle whereas teachers perceive principals exhibiting traits associated more withTransactional Leadership.Keywords: Leadership; transformational; transactional; laissez faire; leadership style; principals,perceptions, discrepancies, Jordan
